Graduation 2020

06-11-20

I DID IT! I GRADUATED! wHOOOOO!

We had to do a virtual graduation. We were only allowed to bring immediate family with us. We had to take videos of ourselves, explaining what our future plans are along with a thank you speech. They put all of our videos together and sent it to us.

At my school it is a tradition for the seniors to sit down and create our graduation year number.

Our school posted our pictures outside to honor the seniors since we couldn't have a real graduation ceremony.

This is my cap that I made the day before graduation. It is obviously inspired by Monsters Inc. as you can tell by Roz. She's graduating too.

How to recreate my cap:

  1. Go to a craft store (You will need a hot glue gun!)

  2. Cut glitter paper to fit the size of your cap. Cut a hole in the middle and glue it to cap.

  3. Print out your favorite picture of Roz.

  4. You don't want to ruin Roz, because Roz is wonderful. Cut out plain printer paper to the shape of Roz and tape her to it. Then glue it to cap!

  5. Stick letters where desired (smaller letters recommended, I had a hard time fitting them all on).

  6. Glue flowers wherever you like!

  7. Finally, stick the cap on Roz too! She's graduating with us, remember? (You can find the sticker caps at the craft store).

  8. DONE!

STORY TIME!

As we were getting out of the car to go into the school for our virtual graduation, Roz decided she wanted to bail. She suddenly flew away in the wind! Everyone was caught off guard. Roz was out of sight in only a second. I almost cried because I worked so hard on my cap. As I'm freaking out, Noah runs over to the school's entrance. Then he comes back to distressed little me, and hands me... Roz. Roz did not look happy. Maybe she didn't want to graduate after all.

Grad Outfit Details:

I went to New York to visit my dad, grandmother, and aunt. We went to eat at Apple Bees to have lunch in celebration of my graduation. We all had to sit separately because of Covid-19. Then me and Noah posed for this picture outside because we didn't have to be separate outside.

One day my class met up to draw with chalk in the school parking lot (just for fun). We also tie-dyed some shirts together. Mine was purple and pink! As we were drawing with the chalk, we noticed a rainbow in the sky. Everybody thought it was a sign from our classmate that passed this year.
